LABAIDS Glass Bead Sterilizers manufactured by Divine International Techcraft, are suited for sterilizing small, solid, metal and glass lab instruments within 10 seconds. These are also known as Micro Bead Sterilizers / Steripots.
These sterilizers are used by dentists, ENT professionals, dermatologists, and tissue culture scientists. These units kill most classes of fungi, bacteria, and virus.
These are mainly used for sterilizing the working ends of small instruments like forceps, scissors, blade holders, scalpels, endodontic files, reamers, etc. The instruments to be sterilized are placed in a container containing glass beads heated up to approximately 250°C for a defined period of time.
Glass bead sterilizers work on the principle of intense dry heat. It has been confirmed that intense dry heat damages vegetative and spore forms of bacteria. Glass bead sterilizers work by heating the glass beads to 250 °C. Instruments are then quickly doused in these glass beads, which heat the object while physically scraping contaminants off their surface. Ideal diameter of the glass beads to be used is 1mm to 2mm.
By utilizing dry heat, the glass bead sterilizer eliminates the use of alcohol, fire, or chemicals. It quickly and effectively sanitizes equipment within 10 seconds, which is a fraction of the time required by more conventional sterilization methods like autoclaves.
Glass Bead Sterilizers For Plant Tissue Culture Labs:
LABE 1229PD Glass Bead Sterilizers / Steri-pots are made of Stainless Steel and fitted with a crucible of dimensions 50 mm dia. X 150 mm depth. These are ideal for longer instruments used in plant tissue culture laboratories. Sterilizers with smaller or bigger crucibles are also available. The Sterilization temperature can be set from 100 to 250 degrees centigrade using the digital temperature controller cum indicator. The sterilization temperature is factory preset at 250 degrees centigrade in the non-digital sterilizers. These have a highly precise temperature controller, integrated high-performance heating element and protection from overheating.
The inner temperature of the container can be heated anywhere from 100 to 250°C and can be heated within 10 minutes. With a compact design, these can be placed and operated on any flat surface in a laboratory setting. These can be easily placed in fume hoods.
Glass Bead Sterilizers For Dentists:
The Dental Glass Bead Sterilizer LABE 1229DT is a small portable sterilizer used by dentists for sterilizing endodontic equipment where the heat is transmitted to the instruments, absorbent points, or cotton pellets by means of glass beads. It is being used increasingly in ophthalmic, ENT and surgical applications also.
This is a small portable instrument and has a well size of 6 cm x 6 cm. The well is made of aluminum while the outer body is made of mild steel that is finely painted or powder coated.
Cold start up time is about 20 minutes. The temperature can reach up to 225 degrees centigrade and the sterilization can be achieved within 10 seconds. About 200gm of glass beads are provided with each instrument. The operating voltage is 220V at 50Hz.
